How the TriCoo plan is builtHow we calculate
Swim time is the pace per 100 m multiplied by the distance in hundreds of metres. Bike time is the distance divided by the speed. Run time is the pace multiplied by the kilometres. The T1 and T2 transitions are added to the stage times if you entered them.
The preset distances are standard, and a given race can differ: you can change them.
Common questions
How long does a triathlon take?
It depends on the distance and your paces. Enter your paces and the calculator adds up the stage times. Time limits for a few races are on the Triathlon page.
How long do T1 and T2 take?
It varies, there is no common norm. That is why the transitions are empty by default: enter your own times if you know them.
Why is running after the bike slower than in training?
Your legs work differently after the bike, and you feel it in the first kilometres. The calculator does not adjust for this and uses the pace you entered. More on the Brick workouts page.
